Buick has been on a roll lately, reinventing itself as a premium brand with stylish and sophisticated vehicles that appeal to a younger and more diverse audience. The latest example of this transformation is the Buick Envista, a stunning electric SUV that promises to deliver a thrilling driving experience, a spacious and luxurious cabin, and a range of advanced technologies.
The Buick Envista is based on the Ultium platform, which is GM's modular architecture for electric vehicles. This platform allows for different battery sizes and configurations, as well as various powertrain options. The Envista will offer two battery choices: a 77-kWh pack that provides an estimated 300 miles of range and a 100-kWh pack that boosts the range to 400 miles. Both batteries can be fast-charged at up to 190 kW, which means they can regain up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The Envista will also have two electric motors, one on each axle, that deliver a combined output of 500 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. That's enough to propel the SUV from zero to 60 mph in less than four seconds, according to Buick. The Envista will also feature an adaptive air suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a torque vectoring system that can distribute power to each wheel individually for optimal traction and handling.
The exterior design of the Buick Envista is sleek and futuristic, with a low and wide stance, a sculpted body, and a distinctive grille that features an illuminated Buick logo. The headlights and taillights are also LED-based and have a dynamic animation effect. The Envista rides on 22-inch wheels that have aerodynamic inserts to reduce drag and improve efficiency.
