Fisker, a fledgling electric vehicle company, is moving into India. Fisker's activities in India will be headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana State. Local hiring has already begun preparing for India's Fisker Ocean and Fisker Pear launches.

According to the corporation, the subsidiary that has been formed in India is officially called Fisker Vigyan India Pvt Ltd. The firm presently employs over 450 people worldwide, and by the end of 2022, it expects to hire over 800 people in the United States, Europe, and now India. In addition, Fisker mentions 200 possible employment in India.

The Hyderabad office will collaborate with Fisker's engineering and product development centers in California to contribute to software and virtual vehicles development.

"We view our new Hyderabad business as a significant strategic advantage in the worldwide hunt for top technical talent," CEO Henrik Fisker explains. "I would also want to express my gratitude to the state of Telangana for their assistance in establishing our initial activities. We look forward to leveraging India's increasing skill pool."

Henrik Fisker's presentation is mainly about the development site. Still, he also announces the debut of the Ocean and Pear models in India - the Pear, according to previous information, will begin deliveries in 2024. However, it is not stated precisely whether sales activity would be handled from Hyderabad.

As is widely known, the Fisker Ocean's series manufacturing is slated to begin on November 17, 2022. @via
